What are some good places to visit in and near Houston?|152730

I want to take my daughter and 2 of her friends out on a small road trip. They are all 13. It is going to be for my daughter_s birthday, but I don_t know where to go. I would love it if you would help me out.

Kemah would be alot of fun. There is a rollercoaster, great seafood restaurants, a boat that goes out into the bay, a huge aquarium, carnival games, etc. And there will probably be boys there. Most 13 year old girls are boy crazy.

Or you could head to Galveston Island. Lots of things to do there.

If you want to drive further, the Riverwalk in San Antonio would be fun.

They will also like the Dave _ Busters (formerly known as Gillians) at I-10 (close to IKEA). There is an IMAX theater and they could watch the Hannah Montana Concert 3D movie

If they_re 13, they_re bound to love the Galleria. Also, check out the museums and zoo. Moody Gardens is always a lot of fun if you_re looking for something more educational. You could also take them to the beach in Galveston--it_s not the prettiest beach, but it_s still fun. Kemah is also a lot of fun. Also look into the Downtown Aquarium.

What do you find to be the best site for driving directions?|128277

I_m driving 800 miles and I need good directions.

People swear by mapquest but I have found that let me down too many times. I go by Yahoo maps. I travel a lot for my work and have found that GPS is the best way to go.

I prefer yahoo but that_s just me and from time to time they all have given me the wrong directions so I invested in a gps because it tells you how to get where your going from where your at.....lets say you make a wrong turn reading the directions on paper unless you are familiar with the area it will be very easy to get lost if you had a gps then you_d make all the right turns and it give you the quickest route every time!!!!!!! good Luck but Id recommend a tom tom or a garmin they are great!!!!!

Google maps is always fastest for me. In fact, when driving from Atlantic City to New York, a relative from New Jersey took a longer route compared to the route suggested by Google maps.

I have this friend in the USA and I have the 10 digit number. Im trying to text from my cellphone but it wont reach. I tried +1XXXYYYZZZZ but still no joy.

Can someone help? Im trying to message from India.

My phone automatically asks me what country I want it to send to look in your phones options maybe you have it too.

Does your computer just not let you do it? Maybe you have long distance but not out of the country calling? Try it with out the + sign..... Good luck.
