What is appropriate to wear to the Drury Lane Theatre in Chicago?|144640

I_m going with some kids from my high school drama club to see xanadu, and I am not sure if the theater is casual dress or formal.

We are going on a saturday night, if that affects your answer.

Moderate formal wear. So you don_t need high end fashion, but don_t dress like a bum.

From my experiences at the Drury Lane, it tends to lean more to the semi-formal area. Jeans, T-shirts, and sneakers are definitely not appropriate, but you don_t need to go all out either. Think nice dress shoes with some khaki or black slacks and a nice button up shirt, maybe even with a tie, for guys. Heels, or at least nice flats, black pants and a nice top, or even a nice dress for girls. It_s a gorgeous theater and the food is good if you get a chance to eat there!
