What of national interest is there to do in your town?
Please answer the above question and sate where you are located (city/state/country). I_m thinking of taking a holiday. Thanks. ___

  • The Sears Tower?

  • Grand Rapids Michigan Lake Michigan has the best beaches and a beautiful shore line. Michigan_s Adventures just north of Muskegon Michigan.
  • Where is the closest car rental to the Flamingo?|188326

I will be staying on the strip @ the Flamingo and want to rent a car for a day. I would prefer not to rent from the airport and was told that some hotels have car rental keyosks.
What would be the closest one to the Flamingo?

  • budget is not there any more, but Hertz is. Just go to the concierge desk.

  • Hi Janet,
I believe you will find Budget has a rental location at the Flamingo. Doing a little research I found the site listed below. Unless you are going out of town I suggest you use the public transportation while on the strip ( Deuce bus, Monorail) not a car. Have a wonderful time and stay safe.

  • As in many hotels there is a car rental desk in the lobby near check-in and concierge. I forget which is in Flamingo..Hertz or Budget or? But I do remember seeing it there last year. You can rent the car there and drop off on way to airport (they then shuttle you rest way to airport if it_s off site)

  • You can begin a car rental process at any concierge desk in any hotel in Vegas. They will come and pick you up and take you to the rental office.

  • Check with the concierge at Flamingo. If they don_t then across the street at another casino they would have one. BTW Enterprise will come directly to go.

  • go to anywho.com
  • What is the most danergous transportation in Jersey City?|100927

The most dangerous transportation can be how people, things, animals, or information travel. I need to know that the most dangerous transportation is and how it is dangerous. Also if you are an expert in this area leave your email (if possible). And if you know someone that is an expert in this area leave there phone or email. Ttry to give as much info as possible thank you.

  • More people are killed in cars than any other type of vehicle, although on a per person / per trip percentage basis, the space shuttle is the most dangerous vehicle ever invented.

  • its jersey city nothing ever happens in new jersey (i would know)
  • How difficult is it to get a taxi from JFK to Manhattan on July 4th?|111818

I_m told that because it_s Independence Day, a significant amount of drivers take the day off, and so it can be difficult to get a taxi. Also, I_m told that on Independence Day it can take longer to get into Manhattan than usual.

Is this true, what problems may I encounter?

  • Not that I want to correct SVincent but there is no bus at JFK that will take you directly to Manhattan for only $2.00.

But it will be quite difficult to get a cab at the airport (everyone is coming in for the fireworks). Trust me - with all the people coming in, taxi drives will not be taking the day off.

Your best bet: Take the subway:

Take the AirtTrain to the Howard Beach station. Then take a Manhattan bound A train to Manahhtan (since you didn_t indicate where in Manhattan you are going, I can_t advise further).

The AirTrain fare is $5 and the subway $2. When you get to the Howard Beach AirTrain station you will see MetroCard vending machines. There are people in maroon vests who will assist you should you need it. Purchase a $7.00 MetroCard and the proceed to the turnstiles marked NYC Subway. When you get thru the turnstiles go to the left and take the elevator or escalator down to the subway platform. The A train runs about every 16 minutes. Take the A into Manhattan, you can change to other subway line at various points at no extra cost if that will get you closer to where you want to go.

Note: If you will be returning to JFK you may wanyt to buy two $7.00 MetroCards or put $14.00 onto one. That way you_ll save time for the return trip.

Review the NYC subway map online to get a better idea of how to get to your destination. You can get a hard copy of the subway map at the Howard Beach station. Just ask the people in the maroon vests.

  • It most certainly can!!!! Your best bet is to travel by bus from the airport to Manhattan. WHy? Safer, easier and _LESS EXPENSIVE_!!!! The bus may run you...$2.00, but the cab maybe $45.00!! Big difference. Just do yourself and your pockets the favor on that day! Take the bus, lol! You_ll thank me later...
