What is the difference between a road jersey and a home jersey?|125659

Im thinking about getting a Lebron James jersey on nba.com but im not sure what is the difference on a road jersey and a home jersey. But, i know swingman is the way to go other than authentic. I know replica are crappy. So help?? pleaseeee? :)

  • Most teams are represented by two colors. Home jersey usually are the lighter color with the darkercolor letters and numbers. Away jerseys usually are the darker color with the lighter color for numbers and letters.

Teams wear their home jersey when they play at home and their road (or away) jersey when they_re on the road.

  • Usually they_re just different colors. Sometimes small changes in the design as well, but it_s often the same thing.
  • How do I get a work permit for America?|125262

I_m from the UK and during my gap year I would like to visit various countries. While I_m in America I would like to be able to get a temporary job (just working in a diner etc.).
How do I go about getting a work permit and what kind of permit would I need? I plan to be there for 1 - 3 months.

  • Get in the back of the line behind the 20 million other unemployed people. Good luck!

  • Probably not going to happen. To legally work in the United States you need a work visa, and the ONLY way to get one is to be sponsored by an American company because you have a job skill in demand in the U.S., and there aren_t enough qualified Americans to fill all the jobs.

Currently the ONLY professions to qualify for a work visa are in Advanced Medicine, Engineering, and Advanced Computer Technology. Plain trades people (like diner waitresses) will not even be considered. There are no shortage of Americans who can wait tables.

Forget about _Foreign Exchange_ programs too. Those are for students, and do NOT allow you to work while here. Same goes for tourist visas, you aren_t allowed to work here while you_re a visitor. Sorry.

  • Not going to happen. We have lots of candidates for jobs _working in a diner_. You need a work visa/permit, which an employer would help you get when they hire you. And that won_t happen [especially from the UK - long waiting list] unless you have a special, in-demand skill that people here in the US can_t fill.

The State Department website has info about permits and visas.

  • maybe your town hall? they have them at high schools too so if you know anyone in a high school, ask them. have your friend tell the person in the office it is for him or herself
  • How easy is it to get tickets for a Denver Nuggets game in Denver. Are their scalpers in/around the arena?|138262

Me and 3 friends are planning on going to the Denver/Golden State game on March 29th. We are wondering what the best way to go about getting tickets would be. Either buying them in advance from the Denver Nuggets website, or possibly buying them from scalpers outside the arena (as we do here in Milwaukee for Bucks games). Also, what_s a reasonable seat in the house, something not too expensive but also no nose bleeds. Thanks for all the help!!

  • The scalpers are around the east side of Pepsi Center by Brooklyn_s. I_ve gotten in for less than face value thru them before. The $24 upper level seats are just fine. Or you could just buy at the box office before the game and save on ticketmaster fees if the scalpers are asking too much. I doubt the GS game would sell out.

  • I_m going to the same game. Already got my tickets... in section 144 up front. Got them off ticketmaster.com. I think that_ll be your best bet. Now you can buy from the scalpers but remember they usually charge quite a bit more than the face value of the ticket. Good luck!
  • How long does a letter take to get from England to Los Angeles?|136171

An important letter has been sent 7 days ago and has not turned up yet, is this normal ?

  • There is no way to give you an accurate answer to this question. In both the United Kingdom, and the United States the mail delivery is a function of the government (OK, the USPS claims to be _independent_) and we all know stories about dealing with bureaucrats.

However, from time to time I will send letters or packages to American military members serving in Iraq, and routinely the delivery time for that distance is about 9 days. I_m sure you letter will arrive shortly.

  • Last one I sent took 4 days!

  • if u had sent it in 1st stamp it would have turnd yet.
if it was in 2nd stamp ovously it take salong time to turn.

  • I had a parcel sent from L.A. it only took 9 days , the next one never arrived ,turns out one of our local postmen stole it and many others.
  • What are some of the best areas to live in phoenix?|124407

I have been looking at Surprise, Peoria, Phoenix, Glendale, and Scottsdale. Where do I get the most bang for my buck? Peoria seems to be nice and Surprise seems like a middle class kind of place.

  • I live in Surprise and it_s nice. There are still houses being built all over and most of the area is less than 10 years old, so you can get a relatively new home for less than you might pay elsewhere in Phoenix. The area is growing everyday- lots of new restaurants and shopping going in and new schools are popping up all over. No mall or movie theater yet, but soon.It_s pretty quiet out here too.
The bad part? The commute is hell. There_s only one way in and out and that_s bell road. And it sucks- I live about 25 miles from work and it easily takes me 35-45 minutes to get there and 45-60 minutes to get home.
Peoria has some really nice areas and some really not so nice areas, however it_s closer to Phx than Surprise. Older houses, older schools but they are good schools. Same for Glendale.
Scottsdale is very nice, but very expensive to live in. Homes are much more there than probably anywhere else in the city. Good schools and great nightlife- Scottsdale has some of the best clubs and restuarants in the state, but again, it_s very pricy.

I hope that helps! I_m a native of Phoenix who has lived in Scottsdale, Glendale, Peoria, Surprise and Phoenix.

  • Check out the East Valley. Ahwatukee, Chandler, Gilbert. Mesa even. Tempe is way expensive (and a headache) because of ASU. Try to keep your commute in mind when picking where to live. Traffic can be murder. Try to live farther in then you work if at all posssible.

  • I live in Glendale and love it! My mom lives in Peoria and also loves it.

  • I second the notion to check out the east valley- I love Scottsdale and Ahwatukee and Chandler!

  • It depends on what you are willing to spend. Are you looking to rent or to buy? Have you checked out the east valley at all? If you are buying, Chandler might be a good choice since, after a huge amount of new housing being built, the market sort of bottomed out, leaving a whole lot of people desperate to sell their houses for much less than they would have sold for 6 or 12 months ago. If you are looking to rent, Mesa has both old and new, in all price ranges.

  • I inquire about Phoenix all of the time, keep the scorpions as a factor in where you relocate.

  • Check out Ahwatukee that is where I live and I love it!

  • Personaly I dont know why anyone would want to live is Az. It_s so hot during the summer you have to stay in airconditioned places, or stay in the pool till your crisp from the sun.and Pheonix is BROWN.....ugh! I dont think I actually saw a yard with grass in the whole city....no thanks! But I love the smell of Scottsdale....the air is thick with the citrus....that was awsome..

  • there are none PHX sucks no one can drive a car, they are rude as heck and real stupid not one person knows where to find any buds man PHX people is stupid
