What else can we do beside gamble and shop in Las Vegas?|107509

My girlfriend and I are going to Las Vegas next weekend. It isn_t our first time going. Usually when we go, she shops and I gamble. But we_ve both decided that this trip we would just both chill. Aside from gambling and shopping, what else can we do in Vegas?

  • See shows like cirque Mystere, Shark Reef, Madame Tussauds Wax Museum, Sigfried Roy Secret Garden, Las Vegas Springs Preserve, Red Rock Canyon with loop and visitor center, Hoover Dam and Lake Mead, Ethel M Chocolate Factory and cactus garden, Bonnie Springs Ranch, Tounament of Kings dinner show (only dinner show), and so much more. Check out local TV Channel 8 web site www.lasvegasnow.com

  • Well there is something for everyone to do here. Relaxing by the pool will be a very popular thing next weekend as the temperatures soar well into the 100_s. There are tours galore here. Believe it or not a lot of natural wonders to behold. A show for every taste can be had. Just walking the strip to see that all it has is a great pastime of many visitors. How about a club to release some of your energy. As you can imagine, there are lots of things to see and do.

  • Try going to a spa for a day
Visit local pools hard rock hotel, mgm, and ceasers palalce allows you to use their pools for a fee (most are $20). Hardrock also has rehab pool party on sundays and their is tao beach also on sundays. Tons of clubs and bars of all types, Im sure you can find one to suit both of your tastes. Of course all of the free attractions such as bellagio fountains, sirens at ti, freemont experience downtown, volcano at mirage, take a gondola ride at vinetian($16 each), Walk through all of the amazing hotels and see what they have to offer. Watch a show, whether its a cirque show, la reve, or if you are looking for something more intimit check out peepshow, fantasy, or bite . There are tons of good sites for vegas such as vegas.com, lasvegas.com, myvegasbuddy.com, cheepovegas.com, smartervegas.com, and spyonvegas.com, just to name a few. Do your research on these websites and others like it to see what interests you, because only you know exactly what you enjoy. You can also read reviews on shows, tours, and just about anything that is possible to do in vegas and maybe that will help you narrow it down. Whatever you decide to do Im sure you will have a blast. Vegas has something for everybody, you just have to find your something.

  • Oh, wow - so many things you could do. It would take too long to list it all here, so try this website:

The website lists just about every Las Vegas venue: Las Vegas concerts, Las Vegas sports, Las Vegas theater ... I_ll stop saying _Las Vegas_ now. You can view the schedule of events and buy tickets there, as well. Have fun!

  • Take the main freeway north for one hour and go to The Valley of Fire! Its a quick drive and a really awesome place to sight see, Ive been there three times and still want to go back. Its all red rock like sedona or utal. Really cool. Its only open during the day, so plan accordinly. Just bring a cooler with water and some sandwhiches and your all set! Its awesome, I wish I had my pics online to show you. Heres some info from wikipedia though. The hoover dam is pretty cool too. You could do both in day if you like driving! They are in opposite directions though.

  • During the day:
    Tours (Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam)
Pool clubs/parties (Bare, Wet Republic, Venus, TAO Beach)
Exhibits (Bodies, Titanic, Atomic Testing Museum, Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art, Shark Reef)

    Golf

    During the night:
    Dining
    Shows
    Nightclubs

  • Pick a nice late afternoon and drive up to redrock canyon.

  • What is the best Hotel to stay in Honolulu?|131962

I am going on a Hawaiian cruise in November for my honeymoon, we want to have a day before and a day after to enjoy Hawaii. What is the best Hotel? Something near the port and airport if that is possible!

  • I always enjoy the Honolulu Prince. All oceanfront rooms at reasonable prices.

  • The Ala Moana Hotel.

The airport and the port is not within walking distance. The Ala Moana Hotel is the closest decent Hotel nearest the port. The rest are in Wakiki and they are all pretty darn good if you go 3 stars and up. Besides, it doesn_t really matter how good the hotel is, you won_t be staying in it long. Get out and have fun!!!

  • First of all, I would not recommend the Ilikai. I just recently got back from a trip to Hawaii, and this place looked like a total dump. The Outrigger Reef on the beach is beautiful. Wonderful staff, beautiful rooms, just an over all great place. I would definently recommend it.

  • ohh definitely the Ko`olina resort. it is absolutely beautiful and has so many things to do there. the Ko`olina lagoons are wonderful. the water is clear, warm and there are many colorful fish.

  • Ililkai where the Hawaii 5-0 team filmed.
  • Is San Diego a good city to travel to for a solo vacation?|115623

I_m planning on taking a vacation alone soon, and was wondering if I would enjoy San Diego since I will be alone. I_m a 32 y/o single female, not really a social butterfly, but I do like shopping, museums, beaches, or just cruising around to sight see.

  • i would go a little north to laguna beach
but yeah there are great malls in san diego.

fashion valley in in mission valley or UTC in la jolla

    there are great beaches too!

and there are a couple museums in balboa park. its great an independant person

there is a harbor right by the airport

there are a lot of piers too!!!

youll love it here in san diego!!!

  • start at La Jolla Shores and end up at South Mission Beach. It_s a great route to take. here are some things i_ve done for free in San Diego:

PB Block Party - Pacific Beach

OB Surf Contest - Ocean Beach

good luck, have fun and stay safe.

  • Yes. It_s great.
Make sure to get a Passport to Balboa Park. It will give you admission to 13 museums and the zoo.

  • yes it_s really great for everyone. There is so much to do. You should go to the zoo and to the museums in Balboa Park and also there_s a great seafood pub right by the airport. Also, you c

  • San Diego has one of the highest populations of single ppl, so i would guess yes but i_ve never been there

  • I have lived in SD 37 Yrs, it has it_s pros and cons,

Pros: everything you mentioned is pretty much the main stuff to do in SD, mall, beaches, very few museums, some sight seeing, lots of single people.

Cons: if you are into warm weather wait till late August , unless you are ok with 4th of july wearing a light sweater at the beach and muggy overcast, I remember going outside to see the fireworks and my nose was running, it was cold and I really was not able to see them even though I was in a rooftop in downtown because of all the overcast; san diego_s summer is actually in the fall and early winter believe it or not, these last couple of years, thats the way it has been, people buying dry christmas trees in 90 degree weather wearing winter clothing because it_s fashionably correct regardless of the temp; Last year I went on a cruise to cozumel Mexico, left SD the last days of August and summer weather had not fully kicked in yet in SD, I returned to SD to find that summer weather was still a week away, by the time my dauhter was back in school for 2 weeks it was finally about 85 degrees, problem is that_s when everyone goes back to work and spends most of the day in air conditioned offices.

Beaches are descent, prettiest beaches- Coronado, La Jolla, Del Mar, fun beaches- PB, Mission, OB, only thing is water is normally chilly all year not warm; Yes there are single people but they are extremely picky and some are cocky, but there is also lots of tourism and foreign men seem to be frendlier, California men look for perfection most of the time, it_s expensive, not very big on cultural stuff, I mean you can find it, problem is you have too look for it, unlike other cities where you feel the artsie cultural atmosphere the minute you get there.

They are really big on getting rid of vintage places and architecture and just going overboard with new construction, so It does have kind of a generic feel to it, oh and dress nice, it_s all about what you wear here. Weather changes day to day.
