What to do on a trip through Yellowstone?|123297

We will be taking a driving trip to Yellowstone National Park, coming from Salt Lake City. We aren_t going camping or doing anything to much like that since we have a little one. What are some good things to do and suggestions for a trip that can still get us outside enough and where to go.

Thanks!

  • After leaving Salt Lake go through Logan Canyon enroute to Bear Lake Utah CIdaho. The north end beach is shallow for a longs ways out. Great for young wadders,Stop in Montpelier Id at the National Oregon-California Trail Center. After going through Star valley Wy head up the Snake River canyon to Jackson Wy. Make sure you take in the Bar J Chuckwagon - Jackson Hole, Wyoming - Chuckwagon Supper and Western Show. Folks of all ages enjoy it.
Once in Yellowstone just take in whatever your time allows. I have been to Yellowstone many times _ there isnt any must see attractions I would recommend anymore than the other. Of course everyone _ their dogs have to visit Old Faithful geyser
.If you are interested in a senic drive After visiting Yellowstone Park exit through the Northeast Entrance, which leads you to Beartooth Pass. The Beartooth Highway is an All-American Road that has been called _the most beautiful drive in America,_ by late CBS correspondent Charles Kuralt. Due to heavy snowfall at the top, the pass is usually open each year only from Memorial Day in late May through Labor Day in September From Bertooth Cody Wy _ The Buffalo Bill Historical Center is your next destination. I think a younger child would enjoy this.
One other suggestion before you get to Jackson. Rent an ATV at Alpine Wy _ go for a cruise up the Greys River road. We have ATV of our own _ all the youngsters love riding along with us.

  • You can do a couple of driving tours of the park itself. There are stops along the way for short little walks, and you_ll see some geysers, wildlife, etc.

The Grand Tetons are very close. I don_t know how young the child is, but you can take a ride down the Snake River. It_s pretty calm, and quite lovely.

  • I lived in Wyoming for several years, visited Yellowstone rather often. Needless to say it covers a rather large area.

A drive north from Jackson-past the Grand Tetons-then through Grand Teton park is very scenic.

Not sure how much time you have. But to help with your planning, here is a very good link to view. Covers the park. And various activities.
  • What is a good/nice hotel to stay at while going on vacations to Hawaii?|177171

My Husband and I are going to Hawaii in November but can not decide where to stay. So we thought we_d look for a few suggestions and ideas. Ofcourse he wants to do the Luau and I want to go scubba diving and want to try out Surfing.

  • On Oahu, the Pacific Beach Hotel would be my #1 choice. It is located right across the street from Waikiki Beach!

  • Well Oahu is filled with Japanese and American tourists.
Maui is very nice, probably the 2nd most tourists go there.
Kauai is very pretty and lush, with not so many people.
The Big Island has an active volcano flowing into the ocean.

I have been to those four islands and I like Maui probably the most, but they all have something different. Hawaii has 11 of the 13 different climates. You can do a Luau and go scubba diving on any of these islands. So you have to pick the island you want first, then try to find a hotel, unless you are going to multiple islands.

  • Stay in Wailea in the South of Maui. Its AWESOME! The Maui Prince hotel has the best deals and best beach.

  • where in Hawaii will you be staying at? (Hilo, Honolulu, Kauai, Kona, Maui).
-Honolulu i recommend Halekulani and Waikiki Parc Hotel
-Maui i recommend Hale Kaanapali and Kihei Beach Resortquest Maui

  • Try www.hawaii.com
Pick an island _ go to accommodations. They list everything from Hotels,B_Bs, Condos, even rentals. One thing to remember is that you are on an island...If you choose garden view you save a $50-100/night. If you stay 3-5 blocks away from the water you may save $200/night. More money to do those Activities.
Personally I like Maui. Divings great..Watch the sunrise at the top of Haleakala, and then bike down from the 10,023 feet summit to sea level. You_ll glide 38 miles down pedaling less than 500 yards of the way.
The Old Lahaina Luau is concidered the best. Its pricey but it_s a full dinner open bar and great show on the beach.
If your just into surfing Ho_okipa Beach Park is not for you but... this is a great place to watch surfing _ it_s the windsurfing capital of Hawai_i. Some of the Islands_ biggest surf breaks during the winter surf season.
  • What are the best neighborhoods in Miami and best places i those hoods 2 meet marriage material women?|175811

n i dont mean pretty church girls that that r good girls in front of their parents and behind their parents backs act like prostitues. Im talking about 100% good girls with morals.

  • i agree with darkness_55 and iboom is just ignorant. I guess you should just avoid the clubs; assuming those would be the _party girls_ you don_t want.

  • what the heck kind of question is this? it is like me asking where do you think i can go find a suit case of money. There is no such place for you sorry! you can find the love of your life in a bar or in a bus stop. life has no recipes for success it is all about timing and what you put into it. not all church girls are whores and not all whore looking girls at clubs are that way either. everyone goes through a learning process and then they change. good luck and be more open to try different things

  • Why not just get a used and abused woman from the hood? Check out Liberty City, Overtown, North Miami, Opa Locka, Atlantic City, Carol City, Little Haiti, or anything around Opa Locka Airport.
