What can you tell me about melbourne florida?|164175

I will probably be moving there soon from ohio and I just wanted to know about it. How far is melbourne from coco beach? Are there concerts in melbourne? Does melbourne have a stage for concerts? How is the crime there? What are the best schools? What are some beaches in or very close to Melbourne? Are the people there friendly? What about shopping in Melbourne? Besides going to the beach what is there to do there? Please tell me anything you think I should know about Melbourne Florida. Thanx!

  • Its trashy and disgusting...
I have been there a lot..
    Go to vero beach.
    Way better.

  • I passed thru the coast checking around in _07. Melbourne and West Palm Beach were more run down than I expected. I have heard of some crime in Melbourne, so I think it_s at least a little higher than the average Fl city. Getting off the highway in West Palm was an immigrant experience.. no wonder the Trump sold. I admit that I didn_t take time to see the better areas though.

  • Melbourne is on the southern part of Brevard County while Cocoa is to the North although they aren_t too far apart, it really depends where you_re going/coming from. Not too sure about concerts but for beaches you could go to Melbourne beach or Satellite beach. I wouldn_t really advise living Melbourne, a lot of it has become run down over the years. From my experience growing up down there (near Viera) there isn_t a whole lot to do aside from the beaches as its pretty hot for a good amount of the year. The Brevard Zoo (in Viera) is very nice although I wouldn_t really constitute it as something to do as I doubt you_ll visit it all that often. The good thing is you_re only about an hour from Orlando where Disney World, Universal, and Sea World are located (along with a ton of other things to do).

If you_re looking for somewhere to live i_d check out Viera, its a bit south of Melbourne and its mostly newer housing and is generally pretty nice. They_ve opened a new High School 2-3 years ago and a new Elementary school 2 years before that in Viera over near the Space Coast Stadium (along with a lot of new housing).

Good luck with the move, feel free to email me if you have any more questions (via my profile page)!

I need to get some tanning in between now and the end of May (maybe even early June). I don_t want a commitment any longer than that because I_m moving. Given this information, where is the most economical (best value) place to go tanning in Madison, Wisconsin?

  • outside, in the summer, it_s free

  • in the sun

  • What are the mode of public transport available between Chicago and Toronto?|175168

Planning to take a trip to Toronto from Chicago in Mid July. I do not live in the US but need some advice here. Any assistance in this will be appreciated

  • AMTRACK. now i may not get 10 points, but really, do i have to explain it

It_s at Union Station. go there. It_s pretty cheap. The train is classy.

  • Amtrak gets you between the two.

There used to be a train to Detroit then VIA Rail went on from there to Toronto. The Amtrak map however shows the route to be the train through Toledo and Cleveland on to Buffalo and then around Lake Ontario to Toronto.

Review the Amtrak site link below to see your options. You cal also call Amtrak at 1-800-USA-RAIL (1-800-872-7245) if you prefer talking to someone about planning your route.
