  • If anyone is interested i recently came across a Black Friday Gift Poll where you can just give your opinion as a yes or no. And in return you will be given the chance to receive a game console of your choice and the modern warfare game.

  • The Del Amo mall in Torrance is the largest mall in the city with two Macy_s stores, a Sears, JC Penney, TJ Maxx, Marshall_s, Express, Hollister, Frederick_s of Hollywood, Cache, Victoria_s Secret, Urban Outfitters, Z Gallerie, and about fifty other stores.

  • lol all the malls are going to be jammed with people. better do your christmas shopping during the week between 10am - 2PM unless you enjoy wasting a half a tank of gas looking for a parking space.

  • If you_re buying electronics like computers and digital cameras or ipods, I suggest you just go to macmall.

    Here are their store locations:

they_ll be opening up at 5am

  • Beverly Center at Third _ La Cienega, West Hollywood

Some movies were filmed there, one with Woody Allen and the other with Bette Midler a long time ago.

  • I_m sorry, but ALL STORES are going to be crowded with people on Black Friday. That_s just the way it is every year.

  • Beverly Center, but they all will be crowded....

  • i like going to South Coast Plaza but its in orange county i cant to go friday!

  • Is Wisconsin a decent place to live if ur gay?|158974

I_ve heard many positive things about Madison. I am in Ohio now and thinking of putting in for a transfer at work to Windsor Wisconsin(near Madison). Overall I would think it can_t be any worse then Ohio or Michigan.

  • Madison isn_t bad but much of the rest of the state sucks. Lots of bigots there sadly and oh yes very stupid people it seems. I lived in Mich my whole life and it s better that slohio and Wisc. believe me. Try A2 or Royal Oak or Ferndale Mich. All great places!

  • excuse me, sharonlynnvn I live here and I think Its beautiful here and I think that anywhere else would be horrible to live. especially where u live (i_m not talking about u bs 2008

  • Madison is amazing - don_t even consider the Fox Valley (Green Bay/ Appleton). Very conservative!

  • I dont know about wisconsin but when i was in San Diego, it was awesome, there were a lot of gay people, and the people that werent seemed very accepting and it was pretty much the norm. I know this probablly doesnt help at all since it has nothing to do with WI, lol but i just thought id throw it out there.. i loved san diego :)

  • Just a shout out to Michigan. Ann Arbor has a very liberal progressive community that openly accepts gays and lesbians. In fact, the majority of Southeast Michigan population ranges from accepting to tolerant of gays and lesbians. Please don_t stereotype the Midwest.

  • Madison is probably the most open and friendly city in the state. You_ll love it.

Cool local music scene, very arty people, and the massive university sure helps too.

Here_s a link to the free weekly paper...

  • Madison is the most gay-friendly city in Wisconsin. I live here, and although I_m not gay, I think you_d love it. Plenty of culture, yet very safe city.

  • Madison is a great place to live. My brother is gay and he loves it. He says it_s very accepting and it_s a lot of fun. Best of luck.

  • Most of Wisconsin is extremely conservative in its attitude toward gays. The exeptions are Madison and La Crosse. Its no suprise that they are both college towns and are very accepting.

  • I would say that in Madison or most other larger cities not an issue - small town Wisconsin - may be a different reaction all together.

  • nope no queers in wisconsin move to cali anything goes there lol

  • I live in Wisconsin :]
    Move here. It_s lovely.

  • San Francisco is!

  • Why would your sexuality have to do with where you live?

  • I think anywhere you go, people will judge you for your actions. Sorry, but our world is full of closed-minded people :(
  • What is there to do in South Padre Island the week of Christmas for a family?|156884

We have three kids (14,9,2 years old) and are coming to South Padre for Christmas. What are some amazing things we can do that time of year? And what are the good food places?

  • Well, the beach will still be nice for walking and playing -- the average high is around 69 degrees, so you might not want to be in your swimsuits, but you can still sit quite comfortably and have a picnic!

Other than that, the kids might like the Turtle Rescue Center or the Island Equestrian Center (you can take horse rides along the beach!) There_s also Port Isabel Lighthouse nearby, which could be a fun excursion, and Schlitterbahn Water Park, if it_s a warm enough day.

Have a look at IgoUgo.com_s South Padre Island page -- there are reviews and candid photos on all of the activities I just mentioned above (plus several more).

As for food, there are a ton of good places to eat: South Padre Island Brewing Company is popular for burgers, there_s Scampi_s for seafood, and people like the Bayside Bar and Grille and Lost Galleon. You_ll find reviews on these places here:

Hope that helps a little -- have a fantastic time!

  • I_ve never been to the Island for Christmas but is a great place to go. I love it there. Hopefully it will be warm enough to enjoy the beach!!!!!!!!
There is a 2 hour dolphin watch your children may enjoy.
  • Approximately how much would the fare cost to take a Taxi 25 miles?|155524

I_m taking a cab to the airport this week and I need to know approximately how much it will cost to go 25 miles. I know its impossible to give the exact amount. I_m just looking for a ball park figure.

  • If you gave the city and taxi company, we could give an exact answer.

First, compute the exact number of miles by going to
    http://maps.google.com
and enter in the text box _123 main street, yourcity, state TO xyz airport_ then press Enter. Note the mileage and estimated travel time.

Then go to the taxi company_s website and look up their published tariffs or registered rate schedule. Many airports have a surcharge so be sure to look for that. Apply the miles and time to the rates and you have the answer.
  • What area of Chicago is best for a 23 year old girl recent college grad?|140545

I am thinking about moving from Pittsburgh to Chicago for a job but know NOTHING about the city. What areas are safe and nice but still close to the city? I will be making around 100 k.

  • Chicago is a wonderful place to live. There are a wide variety of neighborhoods and types of living, so there is no single best place for a recent college grad.

I personally like the following areas of the city: River North, Goldcoast, Lincoln Park, Lakeview, and University Village. When I was just out of college, I really liked the area around Armitage and Sheffield on the north side. Chicago has great public transportation, so some people prefer to live in surrounding suburbs, for example, the Evanston Davis St. stop is a short L ride to the downtown. I_ve also got a buddy who lives over by UIC. That area has lots of new condos and old warehouses that have been converted to lofts and apartments.

All the areas I mentioned are good neighborhoods, generally safe, and have lots of young people in your income range. I_d recommend taking the red line L north from the loop and get off at various stops and see which neighborhoods suit you. Some areas of the near west side are also very safe and nice.

Best of luck! I_m sure you_ll have a fantastic time working in Chicago!

  • Wicker Park is nice. Chicago has many trendy neighborhoods. Northwestern Chicago along Lake Michigan has many nice suburbs as well.

  • wrigleyville. great appartments. great people. great atmosphere. great restaurants and bars.if you like baseball you are near wrigley field.
  • We are 2 girls in our twenties visiting NY and we would love to know some good places to visit for nightlife?|141026

We would like classy venues, perhaps r n b music and cocktails? We would also like to see a good band if anyone has any reccommendations, we are visiting the second week of December? Many thanks.

  • West Village, SoHo definately.

Check out McDougal Street, Washington Square Park area, and West 4th Street.

All have so much going on at night that fits your (our) age group.

    Bring plenty of money!

  • Whaddya say _bout my place ;) ?

  • Nice classy, r_b venues:

Fashion 40 (located at 40th and 7th). Check it out on a Friday evening. The crowd is mostly black and professional.

The Den in Harlem (131st and 5th)

Moca Bar and Grill (119th and Frederick Douglas)- try it on a weekday evening. The crowd is a little rowdier on the weekend.

    Kanvas Bar (23rd and 9th)

  • * Sound Factory / Pacha - West 46th Street
    * Webster Hall - East 11th Street
