How do I bring a friend from Mexico to America to visit?|196296

I have a family friend who lives in Mexico and I want to bring her to America to visit for 2 weeks or so. What are the guidelines and steps for her coming here? I know things are getting more strict here but I see people vacationing here all the time. Any help?

What are the best states in America known for their countryside?|187700

I_m going to work in the US during the summer and would really love to stay somewhere where there_s a lot of nature, villages and stuff.... What would you recommend? Maybe you know some specific towns I could go to?

somewhere in new england, my specific choice would be maine--look into portland, its the biggest city...very nice country side with ocean and mountains...plus its a tourist place during the summer so they hire seasonal employees...
some other towns to consider are:

old orchard beach
bar harbor
york/ogonquit

but my 2 top choices would be portland or bar harbor

It is really a matter of taste - most of the ones that I like are in the East or NE region - VERMONT, PENNSYLVANIA, VIRGINIA, KENTUCKY. Every state has it_s attractions. You also have to think about what climate you are accustomed to because in the Summer, some states are hotter than others. If I had to pick just one, I would pick Pennsylvania, near Philadelphia - lots to see and do and so much of it historic. (Valley Forge, Amish Country, Brandywine River, tons of museums, etc)

Every region has its crown jewel and every region has its slum.
Go where you are led and find the jewels among the thorns.

My favorite area outside of _home_ would be the upper northeast area, in and around the Catskill mountains.
It is always beautiful, no matter the season.

My boyfriend and I are college students and are taking a short trip to Universal Studios, Hollywood. We are looking for other places to visit that are within the area during our stay, specifically a nice beach. Any ideas?

It_s about a 20 minute drive (depending on traffic) to get to your nearest beach. But I think the nicest nearest beach would be Zuma, which would be a 30-40 minute drive. .

Well you could take the Ventura Highway and cut over to Malibu on your way back. Eat of Paradise Cove. That would be a fun thing to do...

How should i study to know where the states are located on the map?|172909

get a blank map, label all the states that you can, on your own without looking. when you can_t label any more get a map and label the rest. keep labeling maps until you know them all. it worked for me and my geography bee team in 6th grade. good luck!

to a child.. the front seat... to an adult....i would still say the front seat

What exactly will the new Harry Potter area at Islands of Adventure take over?|198305

Will the rides like Dueling Dragons and Flying Unicorn stay the same or will it be changed into Harry Potter? In my opinion, I don_t see the point in Harry Potter land, the breed is slowly dying. (I_m trying to get annual passes.) Thanks.

Dueling Dragons will be re themed to Dragon Challenge and the Flying Unicorn will become Flight of the Hippogriff . Also new innovative ride planned for Hogwarts Castle, no news as to what it will be like at moment. Was there a few months ago, the castle is huge, its going to be awesome, can_t wait to go.

I was at the park a little over a month ago. They are adding on to the park for the most part for Harry Potter. Dueling Dragons was open but they are remodeling it for the Harry Potter park. Currently most of the queue is closed off and you can see the House crests installed above the place you get on the coaster. The Flying Unicorn is also part of the area that is closed off for remodeling. Other than that it looks like everything else is new construction.
