Which of the following US cities is suitable for me and are good ?|167975

I am a German student and i am thinking of moving to the US. It is hard for a European to earn money and find a good job. I also like to play music and maybe form a band and i want to learn recording and engineering and i also like busy cities. Which city would u recommend from below that i have chosen ?

1.Chicago
2. New York
3. Phoenix
4. Los Angeles
5. San Francisco
6. San Diego ?

  • LA is extremely expensive but i imagine they_re good for music.
why not start off in chicago work your way up and move to LA or New york when you have enough money

  • Definitely consider Los Angeles. I live in Orange County, CA myself. I love southern CA. Los Angeles is the center of everything. You can still go to San Diego, Orange County. You can go to the city, the beach is not too far away. However, stay away from the bad areas in Los Angeles. I actually know a bunch of guys from Germany that live in Orange County (which is not too far from LA, like 45 minutes). They all love it here. Also, the weather in LA is so amazing. You won_t have to worry about unnecessary rain, snow, or other bad weather that affects your day. Almost perfect weather everyday, and ALOT of sunny days! Also there is tons to do in Los Angeles; I personally go clubbing alot in LA, there are so many places to choose from.

Of course all the big cities are great, but from your choices I would definitely rule out Phoenix and San Diego, meaning I would not choose those because the other choices are simply better. I used to live in New Jersey, right by New York, and I personally think NY is pretty ghetto, but that is just my opinion. I know alot of people that love it though. Los Angeles, all the way!
  • What would be a good 4 day, 3 night vacation to go on by myself?|166427

I currently live in Southern California and I have next Thursday and Friday off to go to Arizona with my parents to see my Grandma, however my mom is currently sick and we may not go. I_m definitely still taking the two days off, but I don_t want to sit around my apartment watching TV. I_m trying to think of a good relaxing vacation to take by myself that wouldn_t break the bank at the same time. I don_t mind driving a ways, but I don_t want to have to drive more than a day. I also don_t mind flying somewhere, but a flight and hotel sounds like it would get pricey. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

  • I was thinking Key West until I saw that you are in California. Key West is still a great option, but the distance might be difficult. I would probably do Las Vegas - never been there but hear it is great! Some aspects of the Grand Canyon may be available during winter months so if you like that sort of thing you could consider that. If you were closer to the east coast, I would also suggest Savannah, Georgia - a wonderful city to visit.

  • I_d check in to one of those singles cruises!

  • A cruise.

  • Vegas Baby!!!

  • Holmes Beach Fl
