What is the longest road trip youve ever taken?|106971

What_s the longest road trip you_ve ever taken? I remember driving from Louisiana to Virginia non-stop one time. I don_t think I can do that again. 20 hours straight!
Also, Louisiana to California. I didn_t drive this one but the trip was long and drawn out. Plus we went there because of a death in the family.
Another, Louisiana to the Florida Keys. Good times :-)
So, explain your trips. :-)

  • I love this question because this trip was the highlight of my life. Me and mine, we took a vacation that started in Anchorage, AK. and went full circuit on the main highways in Alaska. Beginning on hwy 1, we travel north a little less than 50 miles to the intersection of hwy 1 and hwy 3. At hwy 3 we traveled north until we got to Denali National Park. That was the most awesome place that I have ever been backpacking in. After a few day, we headed to Fairbanks. Continued on hwy 2 south to the intersection of hwy 4, eventually arriving at intersection of hwy 1, but went on down to Valdez, AK. After returning to hwy1. Again more driving we went south on hwy 1 to Homer, AK. I was only 22, so I had no problems being on the road that long. But now just writing about makes me tired.

  • from Ohio to Massachusetts~ STRAIGHT...my father had NO mercy~
We went from NJ to AZ.....but of course we stopped in between...just as grueling though.....when you have a relentless father that won_t stop because you have to pee.......uuugggghhhhhh~ I hope he has a FULL BLADDER feeling all of the time in heaven.....hahahahahahaha~
    good question...this one was fun!

  • I drove from Pittsburgh, PA to Orlando, FL. Also, drove from Pittsburgh to Phoenix, AZ.

  • The road trip that took the longest was a vacation in 1958. We went from New Mexico to Yellowstone. A 1952 ford 4 door. What a nightmare.

  • From Vancouver all around the coast, stopping at various places like Banff, Cache Creek, Lake Louise etc., and back to Vancouver Island. Brilliant trip, took three weeks but would do it again if I could.

  • I drove from Finland (North Carelia) to France (Burgundy area) going through Sweden, Denmark, Germany

3 days driving with the breaks

  • Just over 10,000 miles, hitting that milestone on the final day, #29. New York to Alaska and back, with ten days in Alaska.

That is right up there with the best trips we_ve ever done.

EDIT: I love thumbs-down trolls. Do people have something against driving in Alaska or something? Those are the only ones that got the thumbs-down so far.

  • From Wasau ,WI to Sarasota, Florida 26 hs drive plus 4 hrs of sleep in a rest area. Very good experience.
I drove once from Buenos Aires, Argentina to Camboriu , Brazil .That was like 22 hs but worst for the road conditions and the trafic .
If I know I can pass Colombia without being kill for a cartel I would like drive from FL, USA to patagonia Argentina , some day!!

  • What is the shortest way to go by bus to El Salvador from Phoenix?|121388

I thought about going to Guatemala and then getting a ride but the bus does not go to El Salvador. I need routes or specific places to go to. A plane is out of the question!

  • Try Greyhound.

  • . I think i took that bus. You can take local buses that will get you all the way. They stop at every little town and they sometimes carry chickens but you can make it. 3 days of travel. Have lots of local currency for the drivers. Just keep heading south. The bus goes direct to Mexico City ( refer to it as Districto Federal) then you start going slow.

  • Sneak under fence into Mexico.
There is a train you can jump that runs to Mexico city.
After that a lot of walking.

    Also try this:
Sheriffs detention officers have turned over 15,900 illegal immigrants to Immigration authorities for deportation.
Act illegal for a free trip.
As for name calling, you are an idiot for not being able to figure it out.
You cannot use Goggle or Yahoo!
Go figure who the dumb *** is.
    Report that!

  • Commit a crime and Sheriff Joe will deport you for free.
