My boyfriend is afraid of flying so I_d like to drive. I_d prefer somewhere with an 8 hour drive or less. We live in Kansas City and we like obscure places as well as big cities.

Whats the best beach for a wedding in LA or Orange counties?|123947

I_d like the have the ceremony and reception right on the beach and it_d be a sunset wedding. I know all the beaches are public, not a prob for me. Which are the cleanest and least busy around sunset? Thanks for any help you can give!

Laguna is probably your best bet... clean and beautiful... not as crowded as other beaches.

Will the victoria clipper service from victoria island to seattle be cancelled due to weather?|146960

I am planning a trip to victoria this weekend and is intending to take the ferry from seattle? Will the pending winter storm cancel the ferry service and I will end up being stuck in victoria for the night?

I took the clipper in the snowstorm last weekend with no issues.

However, Victoria isn_t well prepared for snow and there was a LOT of stuff closed when I got up there and the wait for a cab was like 2-3 hours (we ended up renting a car.)

It was still a ton of fun but be prepared!

The weather is expected to be thawed out by the weekend. Why not take the ferry from Victoria to Port Angeles, spend some time in Port Angeles and Sequim, and drive the one hour trip to the Kingston Ferry which lands you in Edmonds? That will give you a much more interesting journey than just going directly to Seattle.

If you aren_t driving, you can take Olympic Bus Lines at a very reasonable cost from Port Angeles or Sequim to either Kingston or Winslow, where you catch your ferry to either Edmonds or downtown Seattle.
