What is the best way to visit small-town Kansas?|122405

I have written two (unpublished) novels, both set in a fictional small town in Kansas. However, I have never actually visited the state. What is the best way to see small-town Kansas and get to know its people?

i am fromm a town of 400 in kansas and trust me we are a lot like the rest of america it is just 6 houtrs to get to the mall and we dont have anny like highschool cliques or whatever

Just come to town. We don_t run people out much anymore ;). Depending on what part of the state you set your books, I_d go to that area. Most of us are friendly. . . There are a few oddballs, but if you are genuine in wanting to get to know us, we_ll help you anyway we can.
