How easily is it to take the metro from Chicago Ohare to Union Station?|118171

I will have several suitcases with no help. I will need a cart or something. Is it easy access on and off, from the airport right into Union Station?

  • Not really. The Metra Line that goes by O_Hare doesn_t have a lot of service just yet, since it_s under expansion. Also, you_d have to take the ATS system at O_Hare (AKA the People Mover), then take a shuttle bus to get to the O_Hare Transfer station. And if you need this for a weekend, it doesn_t run then.

This might be almost as tough, but it_s a possible alternative. Take the Blue Line _L_ from O_Hare (underneath Terminal 2) to the Clark/Lake Stop. It has an elevator, which is why I recommend that stop instead of Monroe or Washington. From there, it_s about a 1 mile and change taxi ride over to Union Station. A little more price-wise, but you can get it at any time, which you can_t do with the Metra.

  • your better off taking the blue line and getting off on Clinton go to
