Going to Vegas in Nov. How long should I wait to get a good rate on a room?|107634

I have been searching prices for a little while now and they change often. I have heard with the economy being so bad out there I can get a real good deal on our stay. I am just afraid to wait to long.

  • Lesser know secret of the hotels....book the best rate you find, now... then just keep checking back. If the rates drop for the dates you have booked, the hotel will drop your reservation rate to match the new lower rate. You just have be looking, notice the drop, and call and request the rate match. It_s that simple.

If you wait and the rates rise...can_t help. But, if they drop...this works!

  • You should be good on your travel plans for November now. I suggest you research travel sites such as Expedia for the best room/air combinations and play the departure and return dates. Sunday or Monday through Thursday or Friday usually offer the best options. Also, if you can wait until early to mid December there is usually a significant break in the price for a Las Vegas Vacation.
Last, once you have researched what you want to do and when you would like to go, take your printout itinerary to a reputable travel agent and tell them this is the type of vaction you want. They should not charge you anything, and often they can plug in special discount codes which get you a room upgrade, free show tickets, or many other specials at a reduced cost.

  • If you are coming over a weekend then the prices will stay high. They normally don_t drop weekend prices. Hotels aren_t like airline prices where they start out low and keep getting higher and higher. You can wait a little while to see if they drop. I would book around the six week mark.

  • Depends.

Is it around Thanksgiving?---if so then the sooner the better.

Otherwise you could probably wait a little. Non holiday november is ussualy a slow time in Vegas, especially in this ecomony. The rates may drop furthur, but it never hurts to start looking.

  • I would book as soon in advance as possible. The best is to book with a promo code in order to get the best room rate. Try
    http://www.vegas-hotels-online.com
    - it has the latest promo codes available.

  • Book ASAP, great deals now and could change in the future
