How do I go from Commack to New York City?|167671

I_m staying at Commack and I want to visit New York city (have also plans of going to New Jersey since it_s near the place). Can anyone tell me the easiest way to go there? I don_t have a car so I will be using any of the public transportation.

If you don_t have a car and have to use public transportation, then you are in luck. Take the LIRR (Long Island Rail Road), it will bring you from Commack into NYC @ Penn Station (underneath Madison Square Garden). From there you can access the NJ Transit, PATH trains, AMTRAK, and NYC subway line (1,2,3,A,C).

or you can take the lirr and transfer to hicksville and then take the bus from there. i think its cheaper

The fastest way is taking the LI-RR trains to Penn station,witch would be the heart of Manhattan, then transfer over to the Path trains that should be heading to New Jersey.
