its for a biology project, and i know its a silly question, but you would help alot (:

Why is the question of _saving_ Mount Rushmore coming up? It is made out of stone and isn_t going anywhere.

It is a rhetorical question. But it is part of our history and part of our heritage. It was a monster project under primitive conditions and people died building that thing. It would be like going to China and tearing down the great wall. It is always worth saving.
