As for camps, they won_t hire 14 or 15 YO. Insurance requires them to hire 18YO. Under 18, you_ll be a volunteer Jr. Counselor or Counselor-In-Training.
Good luck!

Are you a really great swimmer, good enough to pass lifeguard testing? If so, you might look into Gerrish Swim _ Tennis Club, 2713 New York Dr, Pasadena, CA 91107 (626) 798-9909 They have hired younger teens (14 _ 15) in the past, usually from the local private schools. It_s a pretty cushy job but the teens complain all the time anyway.
Unfortunately, there aren_t nearly as many summer jobs for teens as there were a few years ago, due to the economy and adults needing to take those jobs. I know because I have a 14 yr old who will be working this summer, and I_ve kept my eyes open the last few years for ideas. If any of your friends work, apply where they work. Look in the local mall and shopping areas to see where kids your age are working. It_s much harder to get a job before you_re 16, because there are stricter rules the employer has to follow. Here is info on work permits, you_ll need one, even though it_s during the summer. If you keep the same job when school starts up again, you have to get a new work permit.

Good luck!
Edit, something I forgot to include:
Here_s info on the hours you are allowed to work depending on your age. During the summer, at 14 _ 15 years old, you can work 8 hours per day, 40 hours a week maximum, between the hours of 7am and 9pm. Important to know because many employers don_t know off-hand.
