What is the worst state in the continental US?|115926

I_ve been around the US and want to get a feel from others. I been to quite a few states and actually lived in North Dakota and my vote would go there.

Worst for Business- West Virginia
Highest Sales Tax-California
Highest Carbon Emissions- Texas
Highest Crime Rate- Nevada
Most Obese State- Mississippi
Most Crowded State- Rhode Island
Most Corrupt State-Illinois (Please see Washington Post article)
State with the fewest personal freedoms-New York

Probably one of the states you_ll typically hear about on _worst states_ lists and the like: Kansas, or New Jersey, or something else.

Granted: there are plenty of people who like those states and are proud of them. Still, there is a reason that places like Kansas and NJ are so reviled. For example, KS isn_t the most happening or most beautiful place in North America. And New Jersey, its problems are too severe for it to be redeemed by the likes of Cape May, Atlantic City, or its proximity to NYC.

Alaska. North dakota is bad but alaska is by far the worst place to live in the US by continental im not sure what you mean so alaska might not even be in the answer range.
