What is the safest city in North Carolina?|192833

I plan on moving from Orange County, CA to North Carolina and would like to know from people who live in North Carolina where the safest city is in the state. Is Raleigh safe? And are there major department stores near these cities?

Any city in North Carolina is very safe compared to Orange County. Except some places in Greensboro are pretty shady.

Raleigh is very safe and so is Charlotte. Charlotte is a bit bigger than Raleigh though, so there is definitely more to do there.

And it depends on what you consider a major department store. There_s no H_M or anything like that, but there is Belk, Sears, JC Penney, Macy_s, Dillards, etc.
