What is the best way to get from Dallas Greyhound bus station to DFW?|194924

I_m coming from Austin and I have a plane to catch in Dallas. I found a pretty cheap ticket via greyhound to Dallas, and I_m wondering the best way to get from the greyhound bus station to the DFW airport...Safely.

  • DART (Dallas Area Rapid Transit)

  • Lindsey, the best way, unfortunately, is not the cheapest way.
The best way is to take a taxi. From downtown Dallas to DFW airport is $40. If interested the number is 214-426-6262.

  • dart bus

  • There are two answers to that question. One solution is to go with convenience and call a cab. That will be more expensive, but it will get you from point to point (in your case from the Greyhound station in downtown Dallas to DFW airport) whenever you need to go without a big wait. It will be maybe 20 miles (guesstimating) so it will likely be a pretty hefty cab fare. I_m guessing it would run $35-50 at most. Find out if you terminal is closer to the north or south airport entrance to save a little money (see link). Super Shuttle could provide a shared ride at a lower price, but you may have to wait a little bit and take some extra time to pick up other passengers who are airport-bound like you.

The other option will be cheaper, but may require some patience on your part. The DART system (Dallas Area Rapid Transit) is the bus and rail system in Dallas. There is a DART hub a few blocks north of the Greyhound station (I think they call it the West End Transit Center or something close to that). From there, you can pick up a DART local bus that will take you to the TRE (Trinity Railway Express) which is a commuter train between Dallas and Ft. Worth. The TRE makes a stop at DFW airport. So you_d have a short walk from the Greyhound to the transit center, hop a bus to the TRE, board a train for DFW airport, and then you might have to get on another train (Skylink) inside the airport to shuttle you to the correct terminal. Of course you might have waits in between depending upon the schedule for each leg of the trip.

I_ve provided links to the important pieces below. Have a great trip and enjoy your little bit of time in Dallas.
