Where would be good places to enjoy the wilderness in New Mexico?|148286

I have been to Taos, Carlsbad, Santa Fe, and thats about it.

The Gila Wilderness in the Southwestern part of the state. Also Chama, Ruidoso, Red River, Jemez. Even the Sandia and Manzano Mountains 20-30 minutes East and Southeast of Albuquerque are beautiful. NM has over 16 million acres of acres of forested land, it_s not just a bleak desert as some people believe.

Lincoln National Forest has lots of winding roads and beautiful scenery though it_s been over 20 years since I_ve been there.

Sierra Blanca White Mountain Wilderness area just outside Ruidoso, New Mexico. Cloud Croft and Red River areas.

I have never hiked at Sierra Blanca but trails are there. I have seen elk, wild mustangs and mule deer.

How cold is it really in orlando in december?|121330

I am going to Orlando from 1st Dec until 14th Dec. How warm or cold is it there at that time? Considering I am from England and it is currently 13 degrees C at the moment and this is a warm day in winter for us.

You_ll probably want to pack more pants than shorts as it tends to get cool at night and stay cooler in the mornings but don_t over pack on winter clothes. Like a lot of places though, it really isn_t predictable! Have fun because Orlando is a great place!

Really hard to say. You just need to check before you go. Normally, you would be talking about a light jacket in the evenings, but sometimes cool or warm spells hit. It could be hot, it could be freezing.

Staying at the Bellagio and I have no idea how much money I will need to take with me. I_m not really much of a gambler and I looked at the prices for _O_ and nearly fainted. I am going with four other people (siblings/cousins) and I want to treat them to something nice - but not so extravagant that I_ll put myself in the poor house. Any recommendations?

Take as much as you_re comfortable with, but you_ll proabably need at least a few hundred. If you need to take money out of a machine, do so downtown rather than on the Strip (e.g. $30 withdrawal fee at the Mirage).

bring your debit card, ATM card - don_t take hard cash, withdraw money from the atm as you need them. they are all over the place.

No more than 300-400 dollars and just be smart because Vegas is made off of losers not winners.

That_s because the major hotels and attractions are NOT in downtown. They are ALL OVER the SoCal area. Disneyland is in Anaheim, in Orange County. Universal Studios is in Unversal City, 12 miles north of downtown. Santa Monica, the closest beach, it 24 miles east of downtown.

If you google _Los Angeles Attractions_, you can usually get a map and sometimes addresses. And there are hundreds of hotels, so that list would be difficult to compile.

As far as if they_re worth it, you really need to think realistically about how many times you are going to go in a year. For Disney World, one-day tickets for Florida residents are $71.10; the standard annual pass is $369.00; therefore you would have to visit at least six times using the annual pass to beat the price of paying gate price for the same amount of visits. For Universal, one-day/one-park tickets for Florida residents are $54.99 (that is the online price by the way); the standard annual pass (called the Power Pass) is $139.99; therefore you would have to visit at least three times using the annual pass to beat the online price for the same amount of visits.
