What is the cheapest and fastest way to travel from California to Lake Tahoe, Nevada?|150435

I thought about driving but it would not work. The drive is too far and I have a couple small kids. I checked flights but they are way too expensive. If you have any other ideas I would greatly apreciate it. Thank you

well, taking a bus with 2 small children wouldn_t be too much fun or too safe, I would think. You could drive if you stop every 1 1/2 - 2 hours for some _get the wiggles out_ time or stay at a Motel 6 in the middle of your drive. If you can_t afford to get to get someplace, maybe you shouldn_t go.... good luck to you and your children

Caifornia is a very big place and part of it is one step away from Lake Tahoe, Nevada. Where would you be travelling from? And BTW, cheapest and fastest are very different things.
