Making a trip to Gainesville from Miami any good transportation?|173316

I need to make a trip for July 3rd but I need an alternative since for some reason or another my dear mother thinks its too expensive (go figure) to go on Greyhound or Amtark. Yes there are buses that takes students, I_ve yet to go to the UF and most trips are from Gainesville to Miami not the other way around. Does anyone know what other buslines are a little less expensive than Greyhound?
