What to look for when planning first vacation to new york city?|166793

this would be my first vacation ever. would like to visit the major attractions in New york city: empire state building, statue of liberty. what and where to look for best vacation package and what to look for in a hotel? how close should the hotel be to this? help with planning this first visit.

  • it_s going to be expensive, can_t really help you there. Unless you really want to slum it of course. As far as the location of your hotel, stay somewhere near midtown, doesn_t matter how close you are to either of those spots. Don_t be afraid to use the subway to get around when you get here, it is inexpensive and best way to get to the sites. Also bring your walking shoes, lots to see here.

  • NYC is Great! I suggest you to go to the Rockefeller Center. It is really cool and fun to be in there, you would enjoy the shops, ice skating rink, museums, and the city itself. I also would suggest you to visit Time Square, and Broadway Theater. There are awesome areas and places in New York City. You will love it! Enjoy!

  • OMG... visit the toy r us... no matter how old you are.... its huge... you can do some serious shopping... oh and definitely see times square. I went there for new years... up front cuz my dad is a police man..=] I saw tila taquila during her masquerade party thing, and rihanna, and those other people on her show... Its amazing there... Try to see a roadway play if you can...
