What season would you say is the best season to visit the Upper Peninsula of Michigan?|150240

Michigan is a state with four seasons, Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer. Out of the four seasons, which season would you say is the best season to visit the Upper Peninsula of Michigan?

  • Fall... preferably in October.

  • WINTER!!! Snow and Lots of it. That is also depending on were you live currently

  • Mostly Spring _ fall

  • I_ve been here all my life, in Michigan that is, and i still have yet to go to the U-P. but from what i hear, the best time to go there is in the early fall, because the colors that the trees turn out up there are beyond compare.... so check it out
    c.c.

  • Oh, as us michiganians call it Up North. Go up north for skiing. Otsego Ski club is the best. There_s many others. Fall in mackinac is so cool ( Mackinac island and Traverse City and Harbor Springs are so awesome). Traverse city is cool to shop around in and of course lots of lakes. harbor springs has lakes, shops, and many cool houses and things to look at. I reccomend Harbor Springs and Mackicnac, because there so pretty in summer ( mid), fall and winter ( early winter) :) Have fun! Also Petsosky with the cool stones :)

  • I_ve been to the UP alot. My favorite times are late summer to early fall. (End of July-End of October). Spring and early summer can be full of mosquitoes and the dreaded black flies. These usually die down in August. By early November things usually get pretty cold.

Winter can be fun, if you like skiing and snowmobiling, but I_m more into the summer stuff.

  • Summer and Winter!
Winter for skiing and snow mobiling and summer for the lakes and just enjoy the Summer events!

  • If you do any research on the weather conditions of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan during each season, I believe you would be able to answer your own question. However, I will help you out. I would say go with the norm: late spring, summer.

  • The Fall is my favorite due to the beautiful Fall colors and nice weather. October is the best! After that, Summer and Winter are tied depending on what you like to do. If you love skiing and such, Winter is great in the UP in Michigan. If you like swimming and boating, Summer is the obvious choice. The only season I dislike in Michigan is Spring. The weather is unpredictable, but usually cold, rainy, and muddy. Yuck!

  • I_d say the fall with all the colors! Crossing Mackinaw Bridge will give you a great view!! Be sure to go to Mackinaw Island and ride bicycles around it!

But there_s Pictured Rocks and Grand Marquis too!

  • Fall, it_s so rural, and there_s tons of trees that change, it_s really pretty. I wouldn_t suggest winter, you_re likely to get stuck. Summer is all right up there, but it_s still kinda cool and the lakes are COLD! (unless you like cold water). Spring... it_s just spring.

  • Summer or early fall! As a matter of fact in about a month, you couldn_t pay me enough to visit!

  • summer nice weather

  • The fall, because of the miles and miles of forests changing colors. It can be breathtaking! In the UP, there are fewer _seasons,_ more like Winter/Summer! If you are into snow, then visit Mackinac Island in the winter for a fairy land of winter!

  • Either the winter or the summer... it is really pretty in the winter, because they normally get more snow than the lower peninsula, and in the summer it is really pretty too.
but it kind of depends on where you are visiting too...
also get a pasty while you_re up there, and some makinaw fudge on the way to where you are going... they are amazing!

  • Fall is definately the best. It_s so pretty up there with the leaves changing.

  • i have a friend that goes camping up there with relitives every fall and spring. he says he likes fall the best and its better to go in the fall
