Look for fun books! Sign up for as many players clubs as you can, most give you a discount coupon book (aka fun book) also try the Las Vegas visitors center at the airport or at state line.
Also the crapier the casino is the more deals they_ll have.

Like said before, sign up for players clubs. Its simple and quick and they have freebies usually. Most casinos the drinks are free while you gamble. Also if you want deals, it doesnt hurt to ask. (for example meal coupons and such.)
