What are the sunniest cities in California?|156270

I am thinking about moving to California in a couple of years to escape the rain and clouds in western washington and I was wondering where the sunniest places were that are on or near the coast in California? I am talking about the most days of sunshine. It can be Northern or Southern Cali.

  • So Cal is definitely much _sunnier_ than No Cal (the bay area is notorious for gloomy summers). San Diego weather is the best... but it will be a challenge to afford to live there. Best areas are probably starting around Huntington Beach (Orange County) and heading Southward all the way down to San Diego (the L.A. beaches are fun to visit, but are way too crowded, are unimaginably expensive to live at, and the water isn_t clear).

  • There_s the city of _Sacramento_ located in the south central valley (78% sunshine) where you are constantly bombarded w/ heat and sunshine. I know because I used to live there. Las Vegas is sunny as hell also (85% sunshine), lived there for 6 months.

The closer you move towards the central valley such as Nevada, there_s less precipitation and therefor less rain and cloudy storms. ( Very low chance of rain happening in these regions) 85% clear days.

And I_m guessing if your also looking for something in between such as not too hot or cold weather and sometimes a mixture of both, go with the city of San Jose. I now permanantly recide in San Jose and am quite grateful for it_s comfortable weather patterns.

    Good luck with the moving.
Here are some other very sunny cities with.

  • Coastal SoCal cities have the best weather! (places near Los Angeles, e.g. Santa Monica, Malibu, Pacific Palisades, etc.)

  • Anything in the Los Angeles county!

  • don_t go to Monterrey Ca cause 1 minute it will be foggy...the next sunny...rainy....weird crap..it only gets maybe 83 degrees here

  • Northern!
    trust me.its better!
