What are most house in the southwestern united states built of?|102344

I_m looking for the Southwest including Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, and Oklahoma.

  • Brick, hardiplank, and lately, stucco. Not many basements, though - our ground shifts and here in south Texas, it is too close to sea level.

  • Just about anything but snow... (here in Houston everything from glass to wood to stone to brick to stucco)

  • Wood or Stone

  • A 50-50 mixture of adobe and buffalo chips.

  • love.

  • Where I live ( The Woodlands, Texas) the big trends are stone, brick and stucco. Good Luck with your search!

  • stucco

  • My husband is from Phoenix AZ. When we visit it looks like stucco, but his families houses are brick and stone, like up here in Ohio. They don_t seem to have basements like we do up here though.
