What is the best place in Hawaii that can fit my standards?|168102

My family and I have been thinking of moving to Hawaii.(Any island will do.) We are looking for a city that is big, but not too big(like above 100,000), and will not be racist against mainlanders. We also need a middle/ high school with high education, (My Family is smart.) and needs to have a big amount of students, and big sports teams. (Mainly Football and basketball.) So, which city would fit my standards? Or if does not exist, which city is closet to my standards?

  • I agree with Shine...why do you want to move to Hawaii? Have you been there? It really doesn_t seem like it would agree well with you.

There really isn_t a big (but not too big) city. Honolulu_s population is about 400,000. The next most populated city, Hilo, rings in at 40,000. There_s a fantastic boarding school on The Big Island (home of Hilo) called Hawaii Preparatory Academy, but it_s quite a ways from Hilo.

Big sports team? Have you seen the NBA team Honolulu Honus? NFL_s Lahaina Monk Seals? Didn_t think so. What exactly are you looking for, here?

  • If you like the city life, I have no idea why you would want to move to Hawaii, but Honolulu is your closest bet.
PS. People in Hawaii are not _racist_. When you get here we kindly ask that you do not try to impose your _standards_ upon us, and treat our _aina and people with respect.
    Mahalo

  • Honolulu would be your best choice. Its the city.
As far as racist, theres no need to be worried. Hawaii_s a melting pot of cultures, just don_t be ignorant.
Well you could always enroll your kids in private school here, there academically challenging.

  • over 1 million people in Oahu alone....substandard schooling. if you are really smart as you say you are, dont move to hawaii

  • you will have to LOWER your standards to live in Hawaii.....better viewed from afar.
