Where should we go on vacation for our anniversary?|179213

My boyfriend and I are trying to plan a one year anniversary trip but can_t decide on anything. We live in So Cal and want to go somewhere out of state, but in the US (and not vegas). It needs to be under $1000 total, and we would be going for close to a week. I would like to go to a destination that have some activities to keep us busy in the day so we don_t just stay in the room and watch tv, and someplace that we can also have a romantic dinner.
For background: We are in our mid 20_s, some of our general interests are music, theatre, sports, movies, technology, and sightseeing.

buy a cheap package to hawaii ! i think the island of oahu or maui would be perfect !

I know you said you wanted to stay in the US but you could go on a cruise to parts of Mexico for definitely under $1000. Also on cruises all your meals are included, so no extra $ there. Cruises have tons of activities through out the day.

Just go to Carnival_s (or whichever) website and search destinations from CA ports

Oh I meant to add that (I think) until Jan 08 you don_t have to have passport to travel to mexico with cruise ships.

well for sightseeing you would need to come to Helena, Montana...the mountains are BEAUTIFUL!!! I dont know what the cost would be to drive from So Cal to here but we drove from Austin, TX (alittle over 1800 miles) and spent about $500 for gas, food, and 3 nights in hotels (we have a honda so get alittle over 400 miles to a tank) but MT has a TON of Mountain trails and beautiful lakes...but other than that theres not much of anything else

Malta is an island in the middle of the Mediterranean. Consisting of 7 islands it is an ever increasing popular tourist resort due to it_s tropical climate, exciting nightlife, and a history dating back thousands of years. I have been there last year and it_s wonderful

Hawaii is always good. Or you can go on a cruise...all inclusive:)

You can get good vacation packages to Hawaii for cheap if you leave and come back during the week. Check out hawaiianair and aloha air_s website.

i think that Hawaii is the perfect place to share your memories together, it is also a very romantic place. I think that you will have a great time there. Happy Anniversary!

i would suggest paris but that not in the state.
