Where can I find the average cost of living for certain towns or areas?|196473

I am researching different areas my family and I are thinking of relocating to and would like to compare them with where we currently live. I have tried searching on the internet, but get more confused. Is there a specific site I can go to input city, county _ state to get the avg. cost of living there? I do not need an exact figure. Just a general idea. Thanks!
