I am planning on visiting Holland, Michigan in July 2009 for a day and I was wondering what is there to do and see while in Holland, Michigan? Also, what is the best hotel to spend the night at if I decided to spend the night at a hotel in the area. Finally, what are some good restaurants to eat at while in Holland?
The beaches are beautiful. I recommend the state park or Kirk park. I think tunnel park sucks. Grand Haven is the best beach but it is a bit of a drive and the town is a zoo.
There is a really nice winery in Fennville that has wonderful tours and good wine. Also in Fennville is a quaint restaurant at Cranes orchard. It features deserts. Most of the restaurants in Holland suck. For a great steak go to Tony_s in Muskegon.there has little nightlife to do, but there has a nice beach if you like.
i would choose to stay in Grand Rapids, (35-45mins drive from Holland). there is more night life, and party happening.
near the beach, there has some restaurant and in summer, the shops are even nicer. very cool. They have the Tulip Festival in June. Other then that you can also swim in Lake Michigan.i love Michigan its the best!i been there and theres the tulip festival and theres the place where they have wooden shoes
