How hard is it to bartend in the LA area?|177292

I might be moving out to the LA area and would like to make some MONEY! I have a college degree, but I thought it might be a good idea to find a bartending job for nights/weekends and save my money for about a year. Is it hard to get a bartending job out there? Thanks!!

Well you have to ask yourself this, how good looking are you? and what kind of bartending experience do you have? Those are probably the top two criteria in obtaining a bartending job. The thrid would be who do you know? but seeing as you are moving here the third one might not apply to you.

But there are a million of bars out here with half of them hiring on any given night. If you have no experience then it will be difficult but not impossible. Its one of those things that you have to pursue...you might get the first job you apply or it might take 100 applications. It will eventually happen if you are persistent enough. also, it doesnt hurt to lie on your resume a little or make a good first impression

It can_t be that hard, thousands and thousands of wannabe actors do it all the time.
