How can I get from Manhattan, NY to Philadelphia, PA without spending a lot of money?|156700

Is there a train or subway that can take me to and from these cities?

  • YOU CAN WALK ITS GREAT EXERCISE FOR THE BODY

  • Forget going to Atlantic City
The Chinese Bus, if you are not familiar, you wouldnt want to take it
The chepeast is bus from port authority or the reguar, not high speed, train. My Guess is you_ll take the bus.

  • greyhound, or hitchhike.

  • take the Chinatown buses

  • probably the greyhound bus

  • amtrack or greyhound bus are the best choices.

  • Amtrak. There is no subway in between cities.

  • Greyhound is the least expensive (and easier to get to than the Chinatown Bus) - it costs $12 one-way between NYC and Philly.

  • Those chinatown buses are death traps. If you don_t mind a longer trip than AMTRAK you can take New Jersey transit along the same line but it goes slower and makes more stops. At some point you will have to switch to the PA train. Do a little research on the internet.

  • hitch hike.

  • Take a bus.

  • I understand the cheapest way to travel among certain cities is a bus service, possibly based in Chinatown, that carries mostly Chinese Americans. I have heard there is a NY to Boston. I know there is a NY to the CT Casinos. There may be a NY to Atlantic City. If so, it may pass close to Philadelphia and may even stop there. If not, there is probably an Atlantic City to Philadelphia bus. The gambling buses often have deals for free meals and some gambling money.

  • yes you should take the _chinatown bus_: the philly line is apex bus. it goes from chinatown to chinatown between ny and philly and it costs 12$ one-way.

  • the bus is the cheapest, but you can take amtrak (train) if you like, but it will cost like 45 bucks each way for the metroliner and about double for acela (buisness class, but seperate trains)

  • You could take a greyhound bus. I have done it myself. That or Capital Trailways, I believe it is still called. If you set it up ahead of time, you save money.

  • walk. or better yet take a bike.

  • take the jersey turnpike, its only like 5 buck if u do

  • You can take the Amtrak, but if you are looking to save money, I_d take the chinatown bus.

Really cheap and just fine. The ride is only about 2 hours anyway.
