What is the best way to get from Saint Louis to Chicago in less than two days?|140248

I would like to leave Saint Louis, spend several hours in Chicago (preferably in the afternoon) and leave Chicago all in the same day. However, I don_t have access to a car. I want a reliable, generally on-time way to get there.

That_s tricky without a car. What about the MegaBus? It typically offers a 1:00 am-ish departure...so you_d sleep on the bus and be in the city by the early morning. then you can take it back that evening!

Depending on the day you want to travel, you can get really incredible rates.

Or you could rent a car.

Amtrak has departures between the two several times a day as well.

And Southwest Airlines offers inexpensive fares at multiple hours of the day in and out of midway.

if you don_t have a car
the best way would be to fly
or take one of the few trains that go between Chicago and St. Louis each day
if some how you can get a car its about a 5 hour drive between Chicago and St. Louis
or take greyhound

Why don_t you fly??? American has hourly flights from O_hare _ Southwest has the same from Midway. Your next option is Greyhound. Good luck!!
