Where should we stay in Boston with kids for July 4th weekend?|129041

We need a pool. We would like to be near attractions if possible.

Kids are 9 and 8 and 2 years old. Thanks you for your advice!

  • You should stay right outside Boston at a Holiday Inn, or thereis a Radisson in Boston near the theater district that you could stay in.

  • When I stayed in Boston we were at the Residence Inn at Tudor Wharf. It is adjacent to the Constitution, and a great starting place for the Freedom Trail. The Marriott at Long Wharf is also beautiful, and next to the Aquarium, which on a very hot day is just the thing to do with kids. Make sure you take the Swan-boat ride at the Public Garden. And see the bronze statues of the ducks from the book, _Make Way for Ducklings._ And of course, you will probably enjoy the music and fire works by the Charles River.

  • In addition to all of the above great answers here are sites to review for information on last years fireworks and this years. Enjoy your stay in Boston. And, welcome.

  • Try the Sheraton in Back Bay, request a room on a high floor with a view of the Charles River. That way you have a front row view of the fireworks w/o having to deal with the crowd. You can tune the TV in WBZ-4 an listen to the Pops too.

I know the Sheraton has an indoor pool, maybe an outdoor one on a roof too? It_s right in the heart of Back Bay, attached to the Prudential Center.

  • no matter where you stay, try to go outside on the charles for the fire works because its not the same from inside. theres tons of hotels in copley square with tons of dining and shopping around. also there is frog pond, which is down the road, which is a little kiddie pool about knee deep for adults. its nice, the swan boats are there too. also hop on highway 93 and go straight all the way to cross into NH, take exit 2 .. andd then go down to the ligts and take a right, stay to your left at the next set of lights take a left and go straight and BAM your at canobie lake park =) . HAVE FUN!! welcome to boston

  • Ok so last year for my birthday my mom wanted to go somewhere local so we went into Boston and stayed at the Copley Plaza Hotel and it was GORG! it was so much fun and we got to do alot there! Mueseum of Science is always fun but i have literally been there so many times that i have memorized it =] but its really fun (ive also slept over there so that was fun but thats only available during certain times =] so thats not an option) def stay at the copley plaza it is great and the pool is on the like 5th floor
