How can I get from LaGuardia Airport to 1568 Broadway in New York?|178301

So this will be my husband and my first time in the city. We really would like to find the least expensive means to get from the airport to The Double Tree hotel on Broadway. We are trying to avoid cabs, but can we take the subway or a bus to the hotel? Please help asap! Thanks!

  • Here_s how to get from LGA to the Double Tree Hotel in Times Square.

Step 1: purchase a $4.50 MetroCard from any Hudson News stand at the airport and take the M60 bus from the airport to the Astoria Blvd subway station.

Step 2: at the Astoria Blvd subway station, transfer to the Manhattan-bound (westbound) _N_ or _W_ subway lines (Yellow Line on the subway map). Take either line from Astoria Blvd to 49th Street. The transfer between the bus and the subway at the Astoria Blvd subway station is free.

Step 3: at 49th Street, exit the subway at the south end of the station (47th Street) and you_re right there.

I hope this information is very helpful. If you have any questions or need travel directions while in town, just drop me a line by clicking on the avatar and e-mail icon in the profile. I_ll be glad to help.

    Good luck

  • The easiest is to get on the Q33 bus from any terminal in LaGuardia to the last stop (Roosevelt Avenue) then go into the bus terminal building and take the E train (downstairs) toward Manhattan to 42nd street/Port Authority. You can walk from there.

At the airport look for metro card vending machines in the terminal near the exits and buy metrocards to get on the bus and subway. The bus takes coins ($2.25 but you would have to buy a metro card anyway to get on the subway)

  • Take the M-60 bus to Astoria Blvd which is one stop from LGA
Go upstairs and take the Downtown N or W train to Times Square
The often suggested Q-33 bus is a slow crowded local bus once it leaves the LGA property .....not so with the M-60 to the N / W combo

  • take the shuttle, only about $14

  • It would be simpler for a first-timer to take regular airport transportation from LGA to midtown on the West side. That address should be walkable from 42nd St.

  • take the M60, it will take you to Broadway, then get on the subway at 116th and Broadway.

  • Walking is the least expensive way to go!
