How is Disney World the first week of February/last week of January?|115294

I_m trying to plan out my Disney World vacation and I_m wondering how the parks are during the last week of January and the first week of February. How is the weather? Crowds?

Also, bonus points if anyone can tell me when Disney will have 2010 vacation booking stuff up on their website.

  • that is a great time to go.
the crowd levels are at their lowest.
the average day time temp for that time of year is 72 and the average overnight low is 50. it doesn_t rain much at all during that time of year and is nice and sunny all day long.

i would pack a little of everything from shorts, to capris, to jeans. and be sure to bring a jacket for the early mornings and late at night.
but also make sure you bring your bathingsuit cuz it should be warm enough during the day to go for a swim and if you are staying on disney property they heat their pools to 82 degrees so it is quite warm.
and you_re gonna need your sunscreen too.

mid august is when disney decides if they are upping their prices and that is when you can start booking vacations for 2010.

  • According to yourfirstvisit.net, January and February have pros and cons. The crowds are smaller and the prices are generally lower. However, January and February are peak attraction closure times. Also, often one of Disney_s water parks are closed during this time, too.

So you can save money and have smaller crowds to fight, but you may miss out on some of the attractions. You_ll have to decide what is more important.

  • I did alot of researching and asking around when we planned our trip to Disney. Really, the main consideration with Disney World is the heat and the crowds. So late January or early February is a good time to go on both counts. We ended up choosing the middle of May, while school was still in session for most people and it was fabulous. The weather was warm enough to go swimming and enjoy the trip to the coast that we took. You will want to make sure to check the Disney calendar to make sure your visit does not coincide with any arranged group days that might offend you, annoy you, or just generally bug you! You are going to have so much fun!
