It_s not hard to find a good bar to party at. We like to stay at the Golden Nugget downtown and they have a bar (called Golddiggers) that has an open balcony that you can drink at and holler at the people walking down the Fremont street experience (and get hollered back at by them *LOL*).
So don_t overlook the smaller bars just to go to Stoney_s. Stoneys is a place that you ought to hit at least one night during the rodeo though...although to be honest it gets pretty packed, so we tend to go there during other non-finals trips to Las Vegas rather than fighting for room on the dance floor. It_s all good though.
Too bad we are going the first weekend, or I_d buy you and your gal pals a drink! :)

South Point_s most unusual characteristic is its South Point Equestrian Center and Events Arena. This 4,400-seat arena boasts 1,200 climate-controlled horse stalls and hosts equestrian and other riding events year-round, including cattle auctions, cutting competitions and barrel racing. The shows and competitions are a fun and inexpensive, albeit dusty, way to spend an evening

Stoney_s Rockin_ Country is the hottest country nightspot this side of Texas. Located on the world famous Las Vegas strip, Stoney_s is just a 1/2 mile north of the South Point Hotel and casino and 3 miles south of the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino. These two casinos host more country concerts and sporting events than any other casino, making Stoney_s the HOT spot for locals and tourists alike.
