HI. My family and I (6 people) are planning a trip to Florida this Christmas season. Where would you sugest a place to stay? Were planning on going for about 2 weeks, so we would like to stay at 2 different places- one for Christmas and one for New Years. We would like a place with a beach front at which our kids can have a good time. THANK YOU!
Since there are 6 people in your group, renting a house or a condo would be a great idea. There are lots of choices for rentals in the Miami area. It_s best to do your homework and use online research to find available places to stay that fit within your budget.
Rather than give you a specific property name and location, I would suggest that you do some research on the available houses/condos, the prices and the locations. I have used justvr.com in the past and it was quite helpful for narrowing down my choices and booking a few nights stay.If I were you I would definitely try to rent a timeshare week. If you have kids it is the only way to go. You can cook and eat in your unit and save hundreds by avoiding restaurants! I would definitely plan to stay in the Disney area for the New Years part of your holiday for the fireworks alone! You might be pushing your luck if you think you will definitely have beach weather in December. If you can get a spot at the Fountains in Orlando it has a lovely water park right on site. There is a resort called Summer Bay over near Kissimmee and it has a LOT to offer too. I canvassed some Floridians and they tend to agree that Clearwater area is the place to be for beaches. Beware of a company called Payless for a car rental. They scare you into buying insurance you do not necessarily need. Our great _deal_ cost us nearly 125 dollars extra.
Have a great time folks! And by the way... AVOID Miami... VERY dangerous I have been told .... and by people who live in the area.At this late date, I_d suggest you take anything you can get! You could try HomeAway.com - perhaps they_ve had some cancellations. Or, use one of the _usual_ travel websites [Travelocity, Expedia, etc.] and see what_s available. You_ll pay a premium for Christmas and New Year_s weeks, of course, and being right on the beach will add to the cost.
Hope you can find something nice!Quit asking this form of questions - money is one of the least critical points of human life!Disney World!
