Whats the cheapest way to move from Ca to Tn?|197762

Im moving from Ca to Tn and tring to find the cheapest way. Iv checked on uhaul and budget and they are 2,000 dollars just for the truck not including gas at 5,000 dollars a gallon. Thanks in advance.

  • Many people are finding it cheaper to sell their stuff and buy new stuff where they move. That is, unless you have a ton of stuff. You really can_t get much cheaper than UHaul. You could check into just renting a trailer and pulling it with your vehicle. Would be some cheaper but you better have a good vehicle to do this with.
    Good luck

  • I guess it depends on what you call cheap! Nothing is cheap lately! BUT renting a truck and hauling your vehicle IS still cheaper than hiring a moving company to do all your work. We moved to Nashville from Las vegas 7 years ago and had a huge Uhaul towing a car PLUS 3 other vehicles being driven because 6 of us moved- 5 of whom were adults (myself, 3 adult daughters, a son in law and a grandson)! We took 5 whole days to drive, but if you have another person who can drive, you can either drive straight through or take only 1 or 2 nights to sleep- that would save on motel costs and food. Good Luck on your move- TN is wonderful!!!!

  • Whoever you met on line is not worth it.
