How much did the Boardwalk Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas suck?|126033

12 years ago I was working there.
1 restaurant that was partially closed off for employee dining and breaks.
Holiday Inn owned the Hotel and wouldn_t comp casino guests.
Some of the rooms were moldy.
The 24 hour buffet had a horrible reputation and customers telling me about it were numerous.
I was happy to move on.
I was happy to see it implode.
Anyone else out there that saw the implosion and thought _Good Riddance_

  • It did serve a purpose though. Frankly I loved those little hamburgers they served at the little restaurant there. The buffet ... well you got what you paid for, $3.00 for an all you can eat meal ... well you could only eat a little because it was so bad. I swear the gelatin desert was the same one they used in National Lampoon_s Christmas Vacation. The only gelatin with a crunch. The thing was it did remind you of the boardwalk in Atlantic City. I couldn_t believe when MGM bought it. It didn_t make sense at the time but it sure does now.

  • For what it_s worth. A friend of mine use to work at the frontier in vegas. I_ve never seen anyone so happy, as he was, when they imploded that place.

  • Well, no matter how much it sucked, I always get a little sad to see the old hotels go. The Frontier was really sad...those people picketed outside that place for YEARS!!!! I never thought it would end...

  • yeah it was waste of space on the strip

  • not sure
