What city in florida has the best rave scene?|132852

don_t answer and tell me _to google,_ i_m looking for personal opinions from people who live in florida cities and know something about the rave scenes in their area. i_m looking for a city that has a very active, fun and entertaining scene.

thank you so much, will give best answer! :)

  • You_ll most likely find the best Rave or Dance Party scene in one of three areas:

    1. Miami
    2. Orlando
    3. Tampa

  • What your really asking is the best place to take the best drugs? Stay away from that crap and find a local bar with plain folks that are methers and stoners.

How long does it take to fly to Colorado Springs?|196359

From San Diego, how long would it take to fly to Colorado Springs. And how many miles is that? Also, do you have any idea how much that would cost? Thanks!

  • It really depends on if you have a connecting flight. go to cheaptickets.com and type in all the info and it can tell you everything. if you fly into denver at DIA it would be about a one and a half hour to 2 hour drive to CO Springs.

  • I suggest calling your local travel agent. They will be able to answer all of your questions. Good luck.

  • I need ideas for a weekend trip with my 14 year old daughter?|130469

I want to take her someplace for the weekend for a mother/daughter trip. We live in HoustonTexas. It needs to be within a 4 hour driving distance. I want to do something fun and unique. She is tired of the beach so I need fresh ideas of what to do and where to go. I was thinking maybe someplace in the Hill Country but am open to anything that sounds fun. Please help!

  • Go to the Guadalupe River Ranch resort and spa. A lot of activities - hiking, horseback riding, etc. Here is website:

  • Find a good like bed and breakfast / spa... and just hang there for a weekend. Get pampered all day and then go out in the evening for dinner. Or go to San Antonio, get a room on the boardwalk... enjoy some mother and daughter time... shop a little and enjoy the city.

  • Go on a scavenger hunt. You can each make a list for the other person. when you start your drive just point and go. Stop in out of the way places, try small town diners. Also take your camera and take pictures of your finds.
  • What is the best way to get from Laguardia to North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset?|130071

I have to have a procedure done at North Shore University Hospital, I am low on funds and need to figure out the cheapest way to get from the airport (Laguardia) to the hospital. How much would a cab cost for that trip?

  • My friend, the cab ride from LGA to the hospital will cost you about $37. You can take bus and train from the airport to Manhasset, then take a cab from there, it will be a lot cheaper. Here_s how to do this.

Step 1: purchase a $4 MetroCard from any Hudson News stand at the airport and take the Q48 bus from the Main Terminal, or from the Marine Air Terminal, to the Flushing-Main Street LIRR station.

Step 2: at the Flushing-Main Street LIRR station, purchase a one way off peak ticket for $4 and take the eastbound LIRR Port Washington Branch train from Main Street to Manhasset.

Please note, if you_re traveling eastbound during the evening rush hour, purchase a one way peak ticket for $5.75.

Step 3: once in Manhasset, you can take a cab from the train station to the hospital. The cab fare from the train station to the hospital is only $8 one way.

I hope this information is very helpful. If you have any questions or need travel directions while in town, just drop me a line by clicking on the avatar and e-mail icon in the profile. I_ll be glad to help.

    Good luck

How come I see a lot of answers for questions with a thumbs down?|180097

I have noticed that on a lot of answers for questions there is a thumbs down. I see good answers and they have a thumbs down (usually 1). I also see a thumbs down on every single answer on some questions, it_s almost like someone is just going down the list of answers for a question and putting a thumbs down.

  • Some people who disagree with the opinon will give the answer a thumbs down because they think it will make the answer seem negative, so other people won_t be as affected by the answer ... that, or they just have no life and think its funny. There_s a lot of teenagers on this site, I_m sure that has something to do with it.

  • Because some people never get a best answer, and are jealous of the people who do get them. Fortunately they dont count against you when someone gives you a thumbs down. Maybe they just have nothing better to do. Who knows?

  • Because there are a bunch of fat, dumb losers who can_t get a girl so they spend all their time and energies haunting Answers and giving a thumbs down to every answer... because that is what LOSERS DO.
  • What are the benefits of moving to Hawaii?|132448

If you had the opportunity to move to Hawaii, would you do it? If you had enough money saved, a place to rent, and a job there, and the only thing holding you back was to finally make the decision if you were going to pack up whatever you know right now, and make the move or not, would you do it?
I say life is short, why not spend it in Hawaii if at all possible. Do you agree with that?

  • I am ready to go there now!! Having visited there 6 times, absolutely love it there! Met some wonderful friends in person whom I have _met on the internet_, so it was awesome to meet them in person!
I would def give up the Michigan winters to live there!!!
The tradewinds are totally awesome, sitting on the lanai of a morning watching the waves of the ocean, smelling the scents of Hawaii, and especially the Aloha Spirit of the peoples!!!

  • Well I actually did this exact thing myself, I have lived here for 4 years and I love it. I did not even have a job or a place when I moved but now I know it was the best decision I have ever made!!

  • Hawaii is like no other!
i mean if you_ve never been to hawaii you probably can never imagine what the word _Aloha_ means. That_s just how it is. Only on hawaii can you feel so connected to the people on the island. I was born and raised there but now I am living on the mainland and I can tell you this is two differnet worlds. Only downfall is the cost of living. Seriously crazy so make sure you paln on buying a home or something along those lines. it_s why i moved.

  • I_m desperately trying to get back after living in Maui for a few years. The beauty was never lost on me and the people are the best. I do miss the pineapple because we can_t get it in Chicago without paying a fortune. I miss the warmth of the air, the water, and the people. I miss the laid back lifestyle and taking my stateside friends to the Luau.

  • Yes I would and am... My husband is there now and why not live the rest of your life or at least part of it there... and we did not do all the planning that you are talking about. he is working and has been there 3 months and I will follow in 3 months but I am going tomorrow to visit.... PARADISE especially with the one you LOVE

  • u go for it. wont know till u try.

  • It would just cost a lot of money... I_m in Hawaii and maybe the beauty is lost on me because I see it every day, but I don_t think it_s quite worth it.

  • If I had the opportunity to live in Hawaii I_d be there in a second. The only thing is I_d have to make good money. Enough to be able to afford a home there. Hawaii_s expensive but there_s a damn good reason... It truly is paradise!

  • I would do it, simply for the pineapple!

  • I did it...twice.

I had been to Hawaii (different islands) a few times and fell totally in love with the place, so when my husband and I got married, we moved to the Big Island. We loved it but unfortunately weren_t well-prepared financially, so when my husband was offered a big raise and promotion at the company he worked for in California, we moved back to the mainland. We said that we_d work hard to pay off all our debt and be back in Hawaii for good in 3-5 years.

Within a couple of years we had decent money coming in. We paid off our debt and when we decided to separate in 2005, I applied for a job in Hawaii, got it, and moved back to the islands.

  • I live in Hawaii and the best part of living here is the Aloha Spirit, the beaches and the non stop sunshine. Live Aloha!!

  • The only benefits I can say about Hawaii is the nice weather and the low crime rate. Hawaii is a nice place to live once you lived all the other places you wanted to live.**

  • i wouldn_t. i was there (Oahu _ Maui) for almost 2 weeks. Fell in love with the beauty, warmth, and pineapple (many other things as well), but id miss seeing snow on christmas or going alpine skiing and things like that. would i go there again for vacation? in a heartbeat, but not to live.
