So I am planning on taking one of my good friends on a mini roadtrip to Guthrie, Oklahoma and I want it to be a really good experience for him and I. Do you know of anything funtertaining to do in Guthrie? The catch is that we are both poor college students and have a budget of about $5. Please help me plan a great afternoon with him!

If you are interested in old architecture, just walking downtown is a pleasure. It is probably the best preserved late 19th century commercial district in the country, and is one of only twenty National Historic Landmarks in Oklahoma.

Free museums in Guthrie include, The Santa Fe Depot, which houses the International Model Train and Automobile Museum, State Capital Publishing Museum, the Oklahoma Sports Museum, the National Lighter Museum, the Oklahoma Territorial Museum, and the Oklahoma Frontier Drugstore Museum.

The Masonic Temple cost $2.00 dollars. I would also take a look at the Carnegie Library. The first Governor of Oklahoma was sworn in on its steps.
