How is traffic on the 605 N from LONG BEACH to CYPRESS in the mornings?|109702

I am planning to attend Cypress College and am commuting from LONG BEACH to Cypress.... I will have school in the mornings (8 am) and am concerned with traffic during that time. Can anyone let me know how bad it might be?

The south bound 405 won_t be too bad, you_ll be going in the opposite direction of the bulk of the traffic. Making the transition to the north bound 605 will be a different story This will become a bottleneck. Leave a little early one day and try it.

As an alternative try exiting at Bellflower Blvd north transitioning to Los Coyotes Diagonal going northeast then turn right on Carson Street/Lincoln Ave to Cypress College. These surface streets move relatively quickly in the morning.

The traffic on the 405 south probably will not be to bad but the 605 north during the week can be horrible especially during morning rush hour. I would recommend trying different routes for a couple of days and take side streets like Bellflower Blvd. up to Carson St. and go east and that should take you to Cypress College. To cut some more time off you could also use the Los Coyotes diagonal up to Carson St. then go east.
