Is it possible to make a trip to Empire state from Newark Airport within 5 hours?|150955

I Would be reaching Newark airport @ 3pm and my next flight is @ 8:20pm on the same day.
Could you please suggest the shortest way to reach?

The best way to get there would be to take the AirTran from the airport to the NJ Transit stop. From the train stop, you can take the train directly into NY Penn Station. Try to sit near the front of the train. Once in NY, you can easily walk to the Empire State building (if you sit near the front of the train you_ll be near 32nd and 7th, and the ESB is on 34th and 5th, about a 10-15 minute walk). The train ride in will take about 25 minutes.

On the way back to the airport, be sure that the board says _EWR,_ otherwise you won_t be stopping at the airport. Be sure to buy your tickets before your board, otherwise you_ll be charged an additional $5 fee on the train.

Or you could grab a cab if you want to spend the money, it might take a half hour up to an hour depending on traffic.
