Is the area of Brooklyn surrounding the Halsey St J train safe to live in?|165679

Obviously this is an opinion-based question, but I_m looking at an apartment near bushwick _ hancock and I_m trying to do more research. There_s a lot of cheap places in that general area, and I just don_t know if that_s a good thing or a bad thing.

i wouldn_t live anywhere the J train runs, except for Williamsburg or well into Queens.

those places are cheap for a reason.

Bushwick is not the greatest neighborhood in Brooklyn....There is a reason why the rent is _cheap_ plus most of the apts are owned by slumlords and they do not take care of them....I would look in a different neighborhood then Bushwick try Bedsty

Bushwick and basically the whole area surrounding it in Brooklyn is creepy. It_s a very dangerous neighborhood.
