I whant to travel to France for 2.5 weeks, and i am interesting what do i have to have to not have any problems. Tnank you!

  • Whether you need a visa or not depends on your nationality. You can go to the site below to see the list of countries whose citizens do NOT need a visa to go to France. If you do need a visa...keep reading all the way to the very bottom of the page and it will have links to click on to get visa information.

A word to _guru_...you too can check this site to see that it says visas are waived for citizens of the United States. And, also, the 2nd site whicn states that is visa is NOT required by U.S. citizens to enter France.

  • You fail to mention your citizenship, only that you are a LPR in the US. You have to check with the French consulate (there_s an office in NYC, for one). By the way, you are required, even for a tourist visa (and US citizens are required to get a visa for France), to prove that you have medical insurance coverage for the period that you will be in France.

  • Use this website to check the requirements for your nationality:

If you do need a visa, apply for one via the French Embassy in Washington or the nearest French Consulate.

    Good luck!
