How do i get from Manhattan Beach, CA to Oxnard, CA without a car?|146422

So I_m going on a 2 week vacation to Manhattan beach with my best friend and planning on going up to Oxnard the first week (love the beach, embassy suites resort and the big outlet there). Any ideas of how to get there without a car? I have a license but it_s European and I_m 19.

  • Your European license is valid in the United States if the friends you are visiting would let you borrow a car, but you are too young to rent/hire a car. Most companies require you to be at least 23. and some 25.

To travel from Manhattan Beach to Oxnard (sounds like someone clearing their throat) there is a Metrolink commuter train that operates from L.A. Union Station to Oxnard. You can view the schedules at _www.metrolinktrains.com_. Click on _Schedules_ then click _Ventura County Line_. Remember this is a commuter train that only operates certain times, and days. The fare is $12.00 each way. The LAST train leaves each direction roughly 6:15 pm (1815 hours).

The website for the bus schedules to get you from Manhattan Beach to Union Station is playing games with me today. One source is _www.socaltraonport.org_. Maybe you_ll have better luck with it. Sorry I couldn_t help with that one..

  • you might want to check carpertina or oxnard beaches since they would be closer
to what you want to and amtrak even has a stop at Carpinteria
matthann beach and oxnard are about 30 miles apart
now depending on what day and time you want to leave
LADOT has their line 438 which will take you from Mannhattan beach to
Los Angeles, say to 7th and Figeroura take to 1st or Temple)
and then board the D dash bus to Union station
then you can take amtrak to oxnard
note the 438 only runs in the AM to los angeles

  • Get to LAX.. They have a bus that runs a few times a day to the Ventura Airport called: Ventura County Airporter. Also there is Roadrunner Shuttle that goes there. I don_t know the Ventura County Airporter_s phone number, but Roadrunner is: 1-800-247-7919 Both leave from LAX and you do not have to be on an airplane to ride on them.

  • Go to LAX and get the Flyaway Bus to Union Station.

From there take the Metrolink, Ventura County Line.

  • Train plane bus sub way or u can rent a car if u dont have one

  • train or do some research on the buses
